I want to thank You

I want to thank You for what You have already done.

I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking You right now.

I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking You right now.

I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; I am thanking You right now..

I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears ; I am thanking You right now.

I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am going to thank You right now.

I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; I am going to thank You right now.

I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am going to thank You right now.

I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking You right now.

I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed; I am thanking You right now.

I am thanking You because I am alive.

I am thanking You because I made it through the day’s difficulties.

I am thanking You because I have walked around the obstacles.

I am thanking You because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.

I’m thanking You because FATHER, YOU haven’t given up on me.

New Year Thoughts

1.          Call your Mom and Dad.

2.         Pray. There's immeasurable power in it.

3.         Trust in God.

4.         Believe in love at first sight.

5.         When you say, "I love you", mean it.

6.         Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

7.         Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

8.         Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

9.         Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.

10.      When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.

11.       Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

12.      Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

13.      Never laugh at anyone's dreams.

14.      Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

15.      When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

16.      Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.

17.      When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

18.      Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

19.      Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

20.     Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

21.      Read more books and watch less TV.

22.     A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.

23.     In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

24.     If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.

25.     Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes the blessing.

--- And most importantly -----

26.     Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll get to enjoy it a second time.

Men and Boys (Mężczyzn i chłopców)

Men, act as men, should act.  Boys, talk gibberish, because they, do not know how to act like men.

Mężczyźni postępują jak ludzie. Chłopcy, mówić, bełkot, bo chłopcy, nie wiem jak się zachować jak mężczyźni.

Luke 2:1-20 (King James Version)

Luke 2

1   And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2   (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3   And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4   And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5   To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6   And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7   And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8   And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9   And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10   And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11   For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12   And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13   And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14   Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15   And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16   And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17   And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18   And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19   But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

20   And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

I am not a Poet, but; “What is it About Poetry”

I have read so many heart wrenching blogs and poems here, that I felt compelled to write my own…

"What is it about poetry"

What is it about poetry that draws out pain I all around them?

I woke today.

What is it about poetry that makes us want others to share our woes with others?

The sun was shining, on a new beginning.

What is it about poetry that makes us look into the emptiness around us?

The taste of my first cup of coffee made me smile, as I thought of my father.

What is it about poetry that embraces the dark and shuts out the light?

I showered, dressed, and felt good with myself.

What is it about poetry that parades our weaknesses to all?

I arrived at work, and felt that my peers were happy that I was there.

What is it about poetry that exaggerates the loneliness?

When I got home, my children greeted me with unconditional love.

What is it about poetry that makes it easier express the negative and bury the positive?
