I was thinking about what makes a person look bigger then their actual size. Many people think they can make themselves look bigger by putting others down. People that are really worthy of being looked up to know you do not need to put someone down to make yourself look taller. The biggest people in the world are not tall or famous. They are those that go out of their way to help others when they need someone to help hold them up when they are falling. The biggest person I know is barely 5 ft tall, but what she does for everyone in her life puts her high on a pedestal to those that love her. She was there when I was frightened when I was in the hospital. She bakes treats for friends to make them smile. She helps take care of her grandchildren so her daughter can work.
What is most amazing is she will drop what she is doing if her family or friends want her to do something with them. She asks for no pay in return for all the things she does for so many people out of love. I am not sure if all those she helps really understand how wonderful her giving heart is. I wonder if they have any idea how much more empty their lives would be without her. I am reminded of the movie It's a Wonderful Life do you all remember the line ( each life touches so many other's if they are not there it leaves a terrible whole.) I know if she was never in my life there would be a huge whole in my life.
I have been very lucky. I have several wonderful loving people in my life. I look up to them all. I know only too well people do not have to do anything for you they do not want to, and I have several people that love me enough to help me when I need it.
I look at some people who live for nothing more then to make others as sad as they themselves are. If we would all try to make someone else's lives just a little better, we would make our own lives better. Good deeds always come back to you 10 fold, if you are patient and keep doing good, good will come back to you. In closing never judge a man by the size or shape of their body, but rather by the good in their hearts.
