Recently, I heard one wag postulate that Americans were addicted to being offended. As I considered "cultural appropriation" (guess there goes taco night), announcements about what pronoun to use for each individual ("they?" really? I mean, if you don't know how many you are, maybe it's time for analysis), American imperialism (where oh where are our lovely colonies supplying all of our tax money so we don't have to), a singular lovely thought began to emerge.
What if they all just got together in church basements and supported each other anonymously, leaving the rest of us the hell alone? :-)

an interesting thought
hmm
this is not new, in very formal english, it is common to refer to yourself as "we" ( as the queen does "we are not amused") and to another person as "they." however, using these pronouns to indulge a pretend identity that some deluded person has conjured up is a problem for me at least. acting like a woman or dressing up like a woman does not make a man a woman. saying you "feel" like a woman or identify as a woman is not valid because you would have to be a naturally born female in the first place to know how a woman feels. all you have is certain people acting out the characteristics of female behavior and claiming to be a woman and it is beyond ***iculous. do you think a man can show up in divorce court and claim to be a woman and that it will make a difference in a custody battle or alimony? no. this is a charade and is only opening up a convoluted can of worms.
